An S Type Jaguar restored by Coopercraft
Coopercraft was established in 1983 by two brothers, Peter and Paul Cooper and was originally run as Beacon Lane Garage in Exeter. Specialising in Classic Cars, particularly Jaguars, and offering everything from a tune-up to a full concours restoration, they quickly built up a dedicated and loyal clientele.
It became apparent that they had outgrown their premises and after a long and frustrating search the ideal site was found. The move to Westwood, near Broadclyst, in 1991 brought their change of name to Coopercraft. The extra space enabled them to provide better facilities and a more efficient standard of service. In addition, they were able to expand their ever increasing range of new and second hand spare parts and provide a wider selection of cars for sale. A spray booth was also added to facilitate all bodywork repairs and restorations.
With their vast experience in competition preparation, particularly having prepared and raced a Jaguar 420 very successfully for several years, they identified an essential requirement to uprate the braking systems on earlier Jaguars. Following considerable research and extensive development they produced a range of Coopercraft uprated brake kits which have been enthusiastically received by discerning drivers conscious of the demands for safety associated with modern day motoring. Their innovation has earned them international recognition with the kits being marketed successfully worldwide.
Coopercraftare totally committed to the upgrading and modification of Jaguars whilst retaining their traditional character and strive to continue developing their wide range of brake kits, while extending the scope of their increasingly busy workshop facilities. With their highly experienced staff they can cater for most models of Classic and Sportscars, being able to provide the owner with a complete in-house service and having a reputation for quality and attention to detail, combined with value and old fashioned personal attention.
